19th Annual Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop
For the past 19 years, locals and visitors alike flock to downtown Truckee to sample local wine and food at the Annual Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop. Held every year on October 1st, attendees receive a commemorative wine glass to sample wine at more than 30 different locations. It’s not just wine you can enjoy. Guests will receive five food tickets and have access to local shopping right in the heart of Truckee.
Tickets to this annual event are $65 and help local non-profit organizations. So grab your crew and get ready to wine, walk and shop! The event kicks off at noon and ends at 4 p.m.
Made in Tahoe
The area of Lake Tahoe and Truckee take great pride in their community and are excited to share it with you. Come out to the annual Made in Tahoe festival on Saturday, October 8th, and celebrate all things local. Festival attendees can enjoy local artisans, businesses, chefs, organizations, and entertainers inspired by Lake Tahoe. Admission to the event is free. Come join us as we celebrate Lake Tahoe at The Village at Palisades Tahoe from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Truckee Certified Farmers Market
There’s no better way to get a taste of Truckee than by strolling the local farmers’ market. Held every Tuesday is the Truckee Certified Farmer’s Market. Guests can browse more than 20 vendors, ranging from local fruit and vegetables, meats, baked goods, and artisan crafts. Located at Truckee River Regional Park, 10500 Brockway Road, this weekly event is something the entire family will enjoy.
2022 Spartan Ultra World Championship
After being hosted for the first time on American soil in 2021, the Spartan Ultra World Championship is back. And better yet, it’s happening right here in North Lake Tahoe on September 24-26, 2022. This grueling, 24-hour championship will push contestants to their limit as they compete for the title of Spartan Ultra World Champion and $45,000. Racer’s physical and mental strength will be tested as they tackle the course’s rocky and steep slopes, thin mountain air, and freshwater swims.
Lake Tahoe Marathon
Kick off the fall season by signing up for the annual Lake Tahoe Marathon. Whether you’re an avid runner or someone looking to try something new, the Lake Tahoe Marathon has something for you. Spanning three days, this festival features a range of events including 5K, 10K, Half Marathons, 16.6-Miler, Marathons, Ultras, and the famous Triple Marathon and Triple Half Marathon Trifecta.
Racers will receive a medal, event shirt, and a race travel bag. Not to mention, food, drinks, and a great time are waiting for you at the finish line. The event is on October 14, 2022.
Experience Oktoberfest
Grab your friends and family and head on over to the Village at Palisades Tahoe to celebrate Oktoberfest. Enjoy authentic German beer and food, Bavarian music and dance, games, and plenty of family fun. Live music will be provided by Joe Smiell’s 20 Piece Bavarian Band, the Almenrausch Schuhplattler Dance Troupe, and Alpentanzer Schuhplattler Dance Troupe, with the Alpentanz Kapelle Band throughout the day. All proceeds from this family-friendly event benefit the High Sierra Lacrosse Foundation.
Truckee Halloween Parade
The Truckee Halloween Parade is a must-see! This event was designed for the entire family and happens right here in downtown Truckee. Enjoy festive Halloween costumes, spooky decorations, and, of course, plenty of candy. The parade travels through downtown Truckee to the Community Arts Center and is followed by trick-or-treating through the Community Arts Center for candy. Come out and celebrate on Friday, October 28th at 6 p.m. sharp.
