Enchanted by the beauty of Emerald Bay Mrs. Knight was reminded of the fjords of Scandinavia so Swedish architect Lennart Palme was hired to build this incredible home. Today, visitors can explore the castle’s interior, with its authentic Scandinavian furnishings and intricate woodwork. Guided tours provide insights into the castle’s history and construction, adding depth to the experience. Vikingsholm is open for tours during the summer months, from mid-June through Labor Day, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the castle’s rich heritage.
