Lake Tahoe is home to a number of incredible events and festivals taking place throughout the summer for those looking for Tahoe things to do, and any of them would make your next vacation unforgettable. This upcoming summer offers some great events you need to check out:
Tahoe Things to do: Tahoe City Solstice Festival
Summertime in Lake Tahoe is truly something special, full of sunshine, barbeques, and fun times galore! To help get the season off on the right foot, we recommend checking out the yearly City Solstice Festival, held June 14th through the 17th in Tahoe City and West Shore. The four-day event celebrates the beginning of summer with a farmers’ market, classic car show, the best local vendors and artisans, live music, and so much more! Get outdoors and enjoy the incredible weather with some good food and great friends, and experience the best that Tahoe City has to offer at the Tahoe City Solstice Festival!
Peaks and Paws
One of best kept secrets of the Lake Tahoe area is that there is a large number of incredible local breweries right in town, and the Peaks and Paws festival is one of the best ways to experience everything they have to offer! Bring your pups out and enjoy two days of live music, delicious food from some of the best restaurants in the Lake Tahoe area, and wine and beer tastings from some of the finest breweries in town. Your four-legged friends can be sure to join in on the fun as well, as there will be a dog-friendly guided hike into the mountains, as well as a dock jumping competition with Splash Dogs! Most importantly, all proceeds will go to benefit the Humane Society of Truckee, so make sure to stop by and enjoy some delicious brews for a good cause! This year’s Peaks and Paws event will take place on June 17th and 18th at The Village at Squaw Valley.
Wanderlust Yoga Festival
If you’re looking for one of the best ways to de-stress, relax, and feel reconnected with the world around you, the Wanderlust Yoga Festival is perfect for you! Taking place from July 20th through the 23rd in Squaw Valley, this event features a number of workshops in different yoga styles, live music, farm-to-table dining, and much more! Taking place in the breathtaking Squaw Valley, there is no better event that will allow you to unwind and experience the incredible world of yoga.
