The Beerfest and Bluegrass Festival is also known as high altitude hops and awesome Lake Tahoe entertainment. Which, catchy as it sounds, doesn’t describe this wonderful event fully. Hosted by the Northstar California Resort, it’s located at 5001 Northstar Drive, Truckee, CA 96161. The two-day event takes place on June 5 – 6, 2019. And while it’s more than just beer and bluegrass music, these two things feature highly in most of the events and add to the fun and pleasure. And with 40 local breweries participating this year, you’ll have lots of beer to taste, savor and enjoy. Tickets cost $35. Guests must be 21 and over to attend.
Northstar Mountain Beer Run
Besides the 40 breweries, two stages, and four bluegrass bands, there will be other events and competitions to make the beer taste one of the top Lake Tahoe happenings to enjoy. The beer run is just an excuse to sample three breweries while taking in the fresh mountain air. Not that you’ll see anyone complaining or protesting that this isn’t an actual run; beer and running don’t mix, as we all know. But for appearance’s sake, we will pretend we’re running when in fact we’re just trying to get to the sampling room in the brewery first! There are two routes to choose from. One is 3K and the other is 5K. Both have great pine trees on both sides and the views are breathtaking.
Lake Tahoe Entertainment at the Annual Beer Sampling Event
This is the main event which everybody waits for. This is when beer sampling blends nicely with Lake Tahoe entertainment and live bluegrass music, creating an exquisite experience you won’t get anywhere else. The 40 breweries will uncork their beer barrels and let the golden brew flow while the bands belt out their latest music. But that’s not all. As a beer lover, when you know that the sampling is unlimited, that puts a tingle down your spine, doesn’t it? You can sample as much beer as you want without limit. The only limit is what you impose on yourself.
Mountaintop Yoga & Hike
To help you recover from the effects of the revelries of the night before, a mountaintop hike and yoga has been planned. The fresh mountain air will do you heaps of good and the gentle yoga postures will bring you a serene sense of calmness and peacefulness. You can also hike up the mountain and enjoy a bit of exercise to rejuvenate your body.
