Hi everyone!

In this post I’m going to get personal with you all and share with you our experience of one of the most important days of our lives…

OUR WEDDING DAY!!!

On August 10th, 2013, I married the love of my life.

It was a warm, sunny day in Lake Tahoe and we exchanged vows on a private beach on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore near the beautiful Rubicon Bay. Between the sweeping views, the crystal waters and clear blue sky, it couldn’t have been more perfect.

After the ceremony we held a cocktail hour and reception at the adjacent property where all our family and friends had a wonderful time celebrating.

The planning for the big day started months in advance and we worked with incredible local and national vendors – all are linked in here in case you’re planning your own beach wedding in Lake Tahoe!

I found my dream gown at David’s Bridal, my bridesmaids wore dresses from Alfred Angelo, we found my husband’s suit at Men’s Warehouse and the groomsmen found their tuxedos at Jos. A. Bank. From trying on gowns on to finding the perfect shade of teal to altering our outfits so they fit like a glove, each experience was incredible and these vendors walked us through the process with patience and experience!

While there are some incredible local florists, one of my bridesmaids and I had worked in a flower shop before and decided that doing the florals ourselves would be a fun project to tackle! We ended up ordering our flowers from Costco and they were absolutely perfect in every way!

All of the dining essentials: tables, chairs, linens, serving utensils etc. were rented through Event Masters who offer high quality rentals and deliver anywhere around Lake Tahoe!

Our dream wedding cake was created by the incredible bakers at the locally owned and operated Tahoe House Bakery – and what an amazing job they did! Barbara and the entire staff at Tahoe House were professional, friendly and so accommodating! They worked closely with us to create our ideal wedding cake (the lightest chocolate raspberry cake you’ve ever had) and when it was served, our guests loved it so much, I kept getting asked where we got it!

After the wedding my new husband and I took a boat ride on Lake Tahoe and relaxed as we glided over the crystal clear waters into Emerald Bay. From there, we hiked all the way up to the top of Fannette Island and took some pictures in the tea house.

On the day of the wedding, it was such a flurry of activity and emotions that I’m glad our incredible photographer from H Photography was able to get some beautiful shots because, even now I look at them and it transports me right back to that magical day where I married my soulmate on the shores of this magnificent lake.
