Enjoy pottery and more at these Lake Tahoe events

It’s not hard to see why so many people from all over the world come and visit Lake Tahoe every year. Winter offers the perfect backdrop for shredding down the mountains on skis or a snowboard and summer offers just as much fun. Whether you’re visiting to take advantage of all of the winter fun or exploring our great outdoors during the summer, you’re sure to see what makes Lake Tahoe so magical. During your visit, be sure to take a break from all the adrenaline-rushing activities and attend one of the many local events the entire family will enjoy. Below is our guide to Lake Tahoe events that won’t break the bank:

Tahoe City’s Farmers Market

One of the best ways to get a true sense of everything that is offered in Lake Tahoe is by visiting Tahoe City’s Farmers. This family-friendly event is held from May 12th through October 20th at Commons Beach. Visitors can browse more than 16 vendors, each offering something uniquely their own. Local goods range from fresh produce, botanical beauty products, handmade clothing, jewelry, and delicious homemade bread. The Tahoe City’s Farmers Market doesn’t just offer a variety of local goods, but an unbeatable view. As you shop around, you enjoy the stunning backdrop of Lake Tahoe. As many like to say, “come from for the produce, stay for the views”.

The Tahoe City’s Farmers Market is free and is from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Learn more information here.

Tahoe City Oktoberfest

The annual Tahoe City Oktoberfest is back and better than ever! After taking a two-year break due to the pandemic, guests can now return in their very best German-themed outfits. On Saturday, September 24th the entire family can enjoy a day filled with Bavarian-themed food, beer (21 +), games, contests, and plenty more. Children are even encouraged to paint their very own pumpkins and get their faces painted. The event is from 10 am to 5 pm at 130 W Lake Blvd, Tahoe City, CA 96145. Lake Tahoe Events at the Main Street Fall Fest

Fall is in the air and there’s no better way to kick off this beautiful season than a family trip to the Main Street Fall Fair. This annual festival is on Saturday, October 1st, and celebrates all things fall. Designed for the entire family in mind, attendees can harvest in the garden, build scarecrows, race a coffin with friends or family, and visit the petting zoo. When you’re hungry, don’t worry because there’s plenty of tasty fun waiting to be enjoyed from CV Flyte and Kona Ice while watching the array of performing artists. Before the day wraps, be sure to visit the market where you can purchase local goods to take home with you. This free event begins at 9 am and ends at 3 pm at Heritage Park in Gardnerville, NV.
