Big Truck Day in Truckee
Calling all little truck enthusiasts! Big Truck Day rolls back into Truckee on October 17 from 11 AM–2 PM for an exciting, hands-on day filled with massive vehicles, heavy equipment, and family-friendly fun.
Head to the Town Corporation Yard for an up-close look at trucks and equipment from local contractors and agencies. Kids can climb aboard big rigs, meet Smokey Bear, watch a CHP helicopter landing and takeoff, and explore the Truckee Donner Public Utility District’s themed bucket truck.

Big Truck Day is also giving back with a pet food drive benefiting the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. Bring unopened, unexpired, non-prescription dog, puppy, cat, or kitten food to help fill the collection bucket. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
Don’t forget your camera! A truck-themed backdrop and costumes will be available for fun family photos and memorable snapshots.
