MAIN FLOOR

Step inside through the newly remodeled entryway, where updated finishes set the tone for the rest of Juniper House. From here, the home opens into a bright and spacious main living area, with two bedrooms and a shared full bathroom conveniently located on this level.

The open-concept living space is one of the home's highlights, with soaring ceilings and enormous curved windows that bring in abundant natural light and frame the surrounding pines.

The brand-new kitchen is designed to be both beautiful and functional, featuring rich Mountain Pass cabinetry, generous counter space, beautiful new finishes, and modern appliances. Overlooking the living and dining areas, the kitchen keeps everyone connected, whether you're preparing breakfast before heading out for the day, pouring après-ski drinks, or cooking dinner together after an afternoon exploring Tahoe.

Adjacent to the kitchen, a large farmhouse dining table is a welcoming gathering place for shared meals, conversation, and evenings together.

The comfortable living room centers around a striking natural rock fireplace and features a large curved sectional with plenty of room for everyone. Curl up by the fire with a cup of coffee, settle in for a family movie night, or simply relax and enjoy the warmth of this inviting mountain space.

Two outdoor decks extend the living space into the peaceful forest setting. The deck off the dining area features a BBQ and outdoor seating, perfect for warm-weather meals. Two comfortable bedrooms complete the main floor. One features a queen bed, while the second offers stepped double and twin bunk beds along with a small seating area, making it a great space for kids or additional guests.

UPPER FLOOR

Upstairs, the spacious primary suite offers a quiet retreat from the rest of the home. The room features a comfortable king bed, high ceilings, and a private balcony overlooking the surrounding mountain setting.

The refreshed spa-style ensuite bathroom makes it easy to slow down and recharge, with a deep soaking tub and separate walk-in shower, perfect after a long day of Tahoe adventures.

Also upstairs is a thoughtfully designed den and office area, providing a quiet place to send a few emails or take a call before getting back to vacation. Same floor is also the host of a half bathroom.

LOCATION and AMENITIES

Conveniently located in the beautiful Northwoods neighborhood, when you stay at Juniper House you have easy access to the Tahoe Donner Ski Resort, beautiful hiking and biking trails in the area and the Tahoe Donner Association (TDA) clubhouse where you will find two swimming pools, three hot tubs, two saunas, a fitness center, a golf course and tennis courts! The TDA also provides access to a private beach on the east end of Donner Lake, offering a secluded and serene location for relaxation and enjoyment! Plus, Northstar Village and Resort, downtown Truckee, Lake Tahoe, the Squaw Valley area and more are all easily accessible from this property! Whether you’re visiting in the summer or winter, Tahoe Donner has activities and recreation for a perfect family vacation! 

Important Notice About Tahoe Donner Amenities:

Tahoe Donner Association has announced new access blackouts and limitations for Short-Term Tenant Access Cards. During these blackout periods, short-term rental guests (including those staying with Tahoe Signature Properties) will not have access to Tahoe Donner amenities.
Our properties are registered as Short-Term Rental Tenant members, which are subject to these blackout restrictions.

Each eligible property is issued six guest cards to access the recreation amenities available through the Tahoe Donner Association. Guests who fail to leave all six guest cards in the home will be subject to a $100 fine per missing card. Children 3 and under are free.

Please note that blackout schedules are set solely by the Tahoe Donner Association and may change at their discretion.

- In the winter, snow tires and 4WD/AWD are required. If your car is not equipped with either, please be sure to have chains.
- We kindly ask all guests to respect quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM, as required by Town of Truckee regulations.
- Full Terms and Conditions are supplied upon booking and completion of signatures on the Booking Confirmation.
- Rental Agreement contract is required for booking to be confirmed and must be signed within 24 hours of creating the reservation.
- Exterior security cameras are installed on the property.

Please note that this home is located in North Lake Tahoe, where wildlife, including bears, may be present. Bear sightings are not uncommon in the area and can occur even when no food or attractants are left outside. For your safety and the safety of the local bears, as well as to minimize the chance of encounters, please follow these guidelines:
• Keep all doors and windows closed and locked, especially at night
• Do not leave food, trash, or scented items outside or in vehicles
• Properly dispose of garbage in designated bear-proof bins

Great spot! Place looked even better in real life than in the photos. More spacious than expected as well. Everything was incredibly clean and overall the house felt very new, as if recently updated. Had a great office space (and fast WiFi) to do a bit of work as well.

Beautiful location, with ample hang out space and spacious bedrooms. We took full advantage of the surroundings too- played in the backyard that was covered in snow. Everything was provided- they had a crib and a high chair for our kid.

Loved our stay!
Our stay here was perfect for my family. It felt cozy and homey. The place was exactly as pictured. Spotless, which allowed us all to feel very comfortable. The dining, kitchen, and living areas were spacious for the 6 of us. The amenities were plentiful and thoughtful - we absolutely loved using the fireplace and hot tub each night! The property managers were very responsive via email prior to our stay. We did have an issue with the garage access one night, and although I couldn’t reach anyone by phone, I received a prompt response via text. My only suggestion, which is personal preference, is to have firmer mattresses. Otherwise would highly recommend this place and would undoubtedly choose to stay here again!

Excellent stay with toddlers
We had a wonderful time in Truckee at this beautiful well-appointed cabin. The hosts were extremely attentive and accommodating and the home had everything we needed plus extras. We used the crib, the board games, children's books, and all the cooking gadgets. We also enjoyed the sleds. We had two 2-year olds and a 4-year old who all delighted in the bunk bed and spacious home to run around in. There are corner-guards on the counter top. My recommendation to the host would be to replace the glass coffee table with something less fragile and to put child-locks on the lower cabinets. A child gate on the stairs would be icing on the cake. We made it work by putting a blanket on the glass table and we removed breakables from the lower cabinets. Not a problem in the end. I highly recommend this lovely cabin for your family vacation.

Great place!
We had a great time! The cabin was super spacious, cozy, and just enough isolation. The hot tub was perfection, the tv setup was great, and the beds were ultra comfortable. Great place, will definitely book again this summer!

Great for Families
This house is a great find in Tahoe Donner. The layout is great for two families or one big family. Plenty of sleeping space for kids and a nice open kitchen and living room for hanging out. The house is fully equipped and clean. We would definitely rent this house again.

Wonderful
Amazing house really well equipped. Very comfy beds. Toys, sledges etc in garage. The website said there would be no condiments etc but there was oil salt pepper sugar dishwasher tablets toilet roll etc so we needn’t have brought all of that! Never mind it was great that it was there. Lovely hot tub. Perfect for a big family sleeps more than 6 if you needed due to sofa bed in office and roll out bed under bunk beds. Great skiing at Boreal. Children skied more at Tahoe Donner as cut out more for beginners. Thank you so much for helping us make memories.

Excellent
This was our first time going to Truckee. coming from Mendocino County where we rarely see snow it was an amazing experience. The cabin was beautiful and had everything anyone would need. I love how fast they replied to my messages. Thank you!

Perfect Place!
2nd stay at this lovely, cozy home. Perfect place for our family!! Beautiful house, location and plenty of baby stuff so we don’t have to travel w/ our pack n play, books, high chair etc :) thank you!!!

Great stay!
Check in was easy and instructions we’re clear. This home has everything you would need for a young family. We enjoyed making meals in the well equipped kitchen. The hot tub was great after being on the slopes. We took evening walks around the neighborhood, a great stay.

Great Getaway!
Sun Valley Lodge was an awesome getaway for our family, we loved spending time together in the living room, and enjoyed the hot tub, the flat lot is wonderful and it came with baby gear. I loved having a separate space to catch up on work, we plan to be back this summer.
