KidZone Museum
KidZone Museum is a playful children’s museum with interactive exhibits in Truckee. The exhibits are mainly geared toward children under the age of seven and include a pirate ship and a princess area. The exhibits include a dress-up area, and children can climb on the ship and in the castle. There is also a train set, a science area, an indoor playground, and an arts & crafts section. North Shore Theaters
Another great way to spend a rainy day is at the movies. Incline Village Cinema is located in Incline Village and plays new box office hits. The theater is small, but is a great way to spend a rainy day. Another option is The Village Cinemas in Truckee, CA. This cinema is located at The Village at Northstar and has 2 screens playing current movies.
Bowl Incline
Bowling is a great rainy day activity for the whole family. Bowl Incline is an old-school bowling alley located in Incline Village with bowling lanes, an arcade with tons of games and a 21+ billiards area with a bar. The bowling alley has 16 lanes, so you usually do not have to wait for a lane but to be sure, you can book in advance on their website. There is also ample parking. They also offer a full Chef inspired menu with a twist on the classics.
Boatworks Shopping Mall
A rainy day is a perfect excuse to go shopping. The Boatworks Shopping Mall, located at 760 N Lake Blvd # 2, is North Lake Tahoe’s premier shopping center. The mall has boutique stores, candy shops, specialty stores, art galleries, jewelry stores, toy stores, and restaurants. We recommend checking out Tahoe City Chocolate, one of the most popular stores in the mall. They sell handmade candies and chocolates from around the world. In addition to the great stores, the mall has a beautiful look inside, modeled after a wood cabin for a cozy vibe!
