Enjoy High Octane Power on Lake Tahoe

If you have your own jet ski that you’re planning on bringing to Lake Tahoe, keep in mind that because of the new regulations governing the use of jet skis and wave runners, it may be easier to rent a jet ski from one of the Lake Tahoe marina’s watercraft shops, as rental facilities are now in compliance with the new rules.

Where you rent your jet ski may also depend on what shore of Lake Tahoe you’re staying at.

In North Lake Tahoe, there are several jet ski rental providers that can accommodate you. Full Throttle Tahoe is located at Kings Beach and offers self-guided jet ski rentals, in addition to boat rentals and charters and lessons in boating, waterskiing, wakesurfing, wakeboarding, and parasailing. North Tahoe Watersports Inc. is also located in Kings Beach and provides everything from jet ski rentals to aqua cycle trikes and parasailing. For their personal watercraft rentals, they charge $120.00 for an hour on a jet ski, with prices including fuel and the option for a one- or two-person jet ski.

On the western shore of the lake, you’ll find jet ski rental providers like Tahoe Water Adventures, High Sierra Waterski School, and SWA Watersports that rent out one to three-person vehicles. Two of these rental companies—High Sierra Waterski School and SWA Watersports—charge about $80.00 per half-hour of use. All charge between $80.00 and $120.00 per hour, depending on the season. However, SWA Watersports also gives customers the option of renting jet skis for a full day for $660.00, with options to rent for multiple days as well. Prices include items such as the cost of fuel, life jackets, and wet suits.
