Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start of summer in North Lake Tahoe, and Opening Weekend on the Lake from May 21-25 serves as the region’s signature kickoff celebration at communities across the North and West Shores — from Kings Beach to Tahoe City and down the West Shore, over to Alpine Meadows.

For the first time, this beloved event — previously held for 16 years and last celebrated in 2019 — will expand to include all of North Lake Tahoe, bringing together businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies for a coordinated, region-wide celebration.
