Celebrate the 4th of July weekend in Tahoe City with a full lineup of lakeside festivities, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun.
Kick off the celebration on July 3 at Tahoe Lake Elementary with the Family Fun Zone from 11 AM to 3 PM, featuring bounce houses, face painting, balloon twisting, and more activities designed for all ages.
On July 4, enjoy the iconic 78th annual fireworks show lighting up the night sky at 9:30 PM from a barge off Commons Beach. Spectators can take in the view from the Tahoe City shoreline, including the Lakeside Trail, William B. Layton State Park, and Tahoe State Recreation Area. A free fireworks shuttle will also run from Olympic Valley, West Shore, and Northstar, with a stop in Kings Beach (schedules TBA).
For those looking for a unique vantage point, nearby trails along the Tahoe Rim Trail offer a stunning elevated view of the display.
Wrap up the holiday weekend on July 5 by giving back at the Keep Tahoe Red, White, and Blue Clean Up at Commons Beach, helping preserve the beauty of the lake for everyone to enjoy.
