Located in the peaceful Northstar neighborhood south of Truckee, our Northstar Home Away from Home is an ideal vacation rental for larger groups and families! With stunning views of the Northstar golf course, this tastefully designed home with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate everyone will quickly become your home away from home!
We care for Tahoe as much as we care for our guests! With every stay, Tahoe Signature Properties plants a tree and provides eco-friendly supplies to help preserve our beautiful mountain environment.
MAIN FLOOR
On the main floor of this unique split-level chalet style home, guests will find an open plan main living area with a large, comfortable living room, large, bright kitchen, dining area, generous patio with a BBQ and incredible views and a stunning primary suite. With soaring, gabled ceilings, a beautiful natural rock fireplace, warm wood paneling, comfortable furniture, and beautiful views of the golf course and hills beyond, this living room is an ideal place to spend the evening playing games or having a family movie night! The large, bright farmhouse-style kitchen is a lovely space to cook, and the adjacent dining area with an eight-person dining table is perfect for family meals! From the main living area, guests can access the large, BBQ patio where you can relax in the warm weather, grill up your favorite meals and enjoy the stunning, panoramic views! The bright primary suite is furnished with a comfortable king-sized bed and flatscreen TV and has a large ensuite, with a walk-in closet and shower room making this space the perfect retreat from the rest of the house.
LOWER FLOOR
The lower floor of Northstar offers guests even more comfortable living spaces, with a casual family room, two additional bedrooms, and two bathrooms. In the lower floor family room, guests will find comfortable leather furniture and a flat-screen TV. From here, you can access the large hot tub on the lower level patio – enjoy the views while soaking after a long day of exploring! The secondary suite is neatly furnished with a king-sized bed, soft linens, a flat-screen TV, and a private three-piece ensuite with a water closet and walk-in shower. The third bedroom is outfitted with a twin trundle and a queen-sized bed (sleeping 4) and has immediate access to the main lower-floor Jack and Jill bathroom shared with the family room.

The Northstar Home Away from Home is located in the gorgeous Northstar neighborhood, just south of Truckee. Whether you’re looking to golf, enjoy Lake Tahoe, hike, ski or just relax, our Northstar property is the perfect fit for you! With panoramic views of the 17th hole of Northstar Golf Course from the living room, a great round of golf is just minutes away! A quick drive south and you’ll find a variety of beaches on the shores of Lake Tahoe where you can spend a warm day relaxing and enjoying the water. Just steps from the front door, guests will find the beautiful Martis Creek Trail where you can explore the natural surroundings and Northstar Village is where you can find incredible shopping, dining, and lots of entertainment! If you want to explore Northstar California Resort, you’ll find the gondola right in the village! Simply hop on and you’ll be on your way to alpine adventures in no time!
Guests at our Northstar Home Away from Home also have access to the Northstar Property Owners’ Association (NPOA) Recreation Center! For a small fee per day, you can enjoy access to the fitness center, tennis courts, five pools, outdoor spas, an adult quiet area, children's activities, and more! Whether you want to get your heart rate up or simply relax and unwind, this recreation center has something for everyone. Each property allows for up to 16 guests. Each guest over the age of 4 with a guest card is charged a $10 (subject to change) entrance fee by NPOA at the time of visit.
There are shuttle services available for guests at Northstar. Email us for more details!

- Maximum Occupancy: 8
- Parking Spots: 2 in the garage, with additional parking on the driveway.
- STR Permit: 22-5330
- Maximum 2 pets allowed and $85/pet fee must be paid before check-in.
- There is a per-person, per-day fee to access the club amenities, and rates are subject to change. See the NPOA Rec Center website https://npoa.info/recreation-center/ for details.
- Outdoor furniture and grills may not be available November–May.
- In the winter, snow tires and 4WD/AWD are required. If your car is not equipped with either, please be sure to have chains.
- We kindly ask all guests to respect quiet hours from 9 PM to 7 AM, as required by Placer County regulations.
- Full Terms and Conditions are supplied upon booking and completion of signatures on the Booking Confirmation.
- Rental Agreement contract is required for booking to be confirmed and must be signed within 24 hours of creating the reservation.
- One camera is located at the front of the house overlooking the driveway, and one camera is located at the back of the house overlooking the back deck.
*Agreement must be signed by occupants aged 25 or older.
