MAIN FLOOR

The open-plan main floor sets the tone with cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the lake like a living work of art. Stylish and sleek, the space channels mountain chic with curated furnishings and elevated finishes throughout.

At the heart of the living space is a stunning lounge area positioned directly in front of the windows like a living painting. It’s the perfect place for sipping coffee as the sun rises, stretching into a morning yoga session, or simply watching clouds drift across the sky and the sun shimmer on the waves. It’s an experience in stillness and awe.

Just around the corner, a second, equally inviting seating area is anchored by a beautiful rock fireplace and a wall-mounted TV. Plush sofas and ambient lighting create a cozy nook for movie nights, board games, or sharing a bottle of wine as the fire crackles nearby. Whether you're looking for quiet reflection or a lively gathering spot, this thoughtfully designed layout offers space for both.

The kitchen is modern and spacious, with clean lines, quality appliances, and plenty of room for shared cooking or prepping large meals together. Just beyond, the dining area features an eight-person table set against a wall of glass, where late-night conversations stretch out beneath a sky slowly fading to dusk.

LOWER LEVEL

Downstairs, the lower level offers a private and beautifully appointed retreat—ideal for guests seeking a little separation from the main living areas. This floor includes two thoughtfully designed sleeping spaces and a spacious full bathroom, all finished with the same attention to detail and elevated style found throughout the home.

Tucked into a quiet hillside enclave in Carnelian Bay, Casa Montelago places you at the heart of North Lake Tahoe’s year-round adventure. Just minutes away, you’ll find the family-friendly, pet-friendly beach and picnic areas at Carnelian West and Moon Dunes—perfect for sunny lake days, paddleboarding, or simply watching the waves roll in. There’s even a nearby mini golf course, offering fun for all ages and adding a charming touch to your vacation.

When the snow starts to fall, world-class ski resorts like Northstar California and Palisades Tahoe are within a 25–30 minute drive, offering everything from groomed beginner slopes to expert-level terrain. Tahoe City is less than 10 minutes away, with its charming shops, lakefront restaurants, and scenic bike paths, while Kings Beach—known for its laid-back vibe and summertime festivals—is equally close.

- Outdoor furniture and grills may not be available November–May.
- In the winter, snow tires and 4WD/AWD are required. If your car is not equipped with both, please be sure to have chains.
- We kindly ask all guests to respect quiet hours from 9 PM to 7 AM, as required by Placer County regulations.
- Full Terms and Conditions are supplied upon booking and completion of signatures on the Booking Confirmation.
- Rental Agreement contract is required for booking to be confirmed and must be signed within 24 hours of creating the reservation.
- There is one Ring security camera installed at this property. It is located to the left of the front door and faces the front porch. The camera is used for security purposes only and does not face any private or interior areas.
*Agreement must be signed by occupants aged 25 or older.
