The historic jail was built in 1875 and used until 1964. Inside you’ll find exhibits and information about the jail’s construction, the first prisoner, the first female prisoner, and more. The museum is open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on weekends Memorial Day through Labor Day, and on “Truckee Thursdays” 5-9 p.m.
