The sounds of city life can be addictive to those who love the excitement of big city life, but after a while you may find yourself craving a simpler life. Instead of the honking horns and sirens that accompanies this lifestyle, you need to hear the sound of the wind whispering through the trees and the birds happily singing in their branches. You enjoy the oasis you have created in your backyard, but does it offer views of majestic mountains and the manicured beauty of a golf course that exists just beyond the fence line? You may not be ready to move to the country, but when your vacation journey brings you to the rugged countryside of Lake Tahoe, the charms found in Mountain Family Oasis, our Tahoe Signature Properties 4-bedroom, 3-bath log cabin, can give you the reprieve you need in your busy life. This guide is just our way of introducing you to the possibilities we offer—enjoy!

Lake Tahoe Log Cabin Life

From the outside, the clapboard and plank siding and its river stone accents offer a beautiful complement to the tin roof, all of which hints at the treasures about to be revealed inside of this Lake Tahoe log cabin. When the door swings open, the beauty of Mountain Family Oasis just may take your breath away! Slate floors greet you at the door, creating a natural path to rooms that are beautifully functional and practically gorgeous, starting with the foyer you first see. A barnwood rack offers a place to hang your winter coats in the winter, and the marquis letters that sit on the wooden table offer a gentle suggestion as to how you should spend your winter vacation in North Lake Tahoe, simply spelling out the word SKI. Hardy wood beams frame the doorways that lead into the public spaces, and as your eyes follow focal points that go up, up, up, leading to a beamed and vaulted ceiling, your heart will take flight as your feet remain firmly grounded on wood floors polished to a golden glow.

Make your way to a cheerful kitchen fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets, and although the majority of the kitchen countertops are granite, a large butcher block island provides a place to sit, eat, or converse with the cook of the day. The barn red frame of the butcher block island complements the golden wood and contrasts nicely with the green glass tile backsplash, giving the entire kitchen a woodsy look that still manages to be sophisticated and elegant. A farm style dining table made of natural and stained woods sits directly opposite the island, tucked away into an alcove that offers a picture window view of the landscape just outside, and the living room, just to the other side of the dining room space, offers more of the rustic charms found in this log cabin, including a brick red enameled wood burning stove placed upon a platform made of stone, softly distressed sofa and chair in leather and suede, all resting on a soft red area rug that ties the color schematics of the island, stove, and throw pillows together.

Two doorways, one in a wood French door style, the other mimicking the design with its wood framed sliding glass doors, lead to the outdoors, where a deck offers more seating and views of the breathtaking natural landscape, but the tour of the indoors has many more wonders to explore, so you make your way to the loft located just up the stairs. This space, open to the rest of the house, offers a chenille sectional, a state-of-the-art television, and an opportunity to rest and relax away from the action in the rest of the house. The four bedrooms are comfortable and tranquil, offering soft beds and high thread count linens, and windows that offer more of those incredible Tahoe views. The master suite contains a king bed and offers a private bath with a classically tiled walk-in shower featuring two showerheads, one on either end. One of the remaining bedrooms offers a queen bed and a wall painted in chalk paint—kids love this amenity, and we look forward to seeing their masterpieces—and another bedroom with two twin beds finalizes the most luxurious part of your tour.

Because we don’t believe in less is more, your rental fees include access to community amenities, which include two swimming pools (one is heated and can be used year-round), three hot tubs, two saunas, and a fitness center as well as tennis courts. For an additional fee, you can make use of the golf course that is a popular part of the community. Reserve Mountain Family Oasis today!
