Our Lake Tahoe Beach Wedding!

Hi everyone, in this post I’m going to share our experience of one of the most important days of our lives, OUR WEDDING DAY!!!

We were fortunate enough to be able to have our dream wedding on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore, in Rubicon Bay, what an amazing day, Aug 10th 2013 turned out to be an warm and sunny day, as most days are in Lake Tahoe, meaning sunny, not so warm in the winter 🙂

The Lake Tahoe beach wedding took place at a private home on the lake with a private beach and a gorgeous view, we had our ceremony on the beach and the cocktail hour and reception at the same property, everyone had a wonderful time, including me, even though I only remember bits and pieces, my emotions got the better of me.

As with all weddings the planning part started month before the big day, I will list all the vendor we’ve used in case you’re planning a wedding at Lake Tahoe or know someone who does.

My gown came from David’s Bridal and my husband’s (still not used to the new title:) suite came from Men’s Warehouse. My bridesmaids wore dresses form Alfred Angelo (it’s the tuxedo style they have) and the groom’s men got their tuxes from Jos. A. Bank, I was only able to find teal at Alfred Angelo and Jos. A. Bank.

Flowers- I ordered flowers at Costco and me and one of my bridesmaids helped with the flowers, we’ve worked in a flower shop before so we decided it’ll be a fun project to tackle.

All the tables, chairs, linens, serving utensils… came from Event Masters, they have an office in Truckee and they deliver all over the Lake.

The cake came from Tahoe House Bakery, they did such an amazing job and the service we’ve received from Barbara and the stuff was great, I’ve tried to get a hold of a few places but none were so accommodating. Our cake was chocolate raspberry, very moist and delicious. When we went tasting we were going to get the chocolate mouse, after the tasting our mind has changed and we loved it.

The days of the wedding we took pictures at the property, a week after we scheduled a boat ride on the lake and went to Emerald Bay, we hiked all the way to the top and took some pictures in the tea house.

I hope I didn’t miss anything, if you have questions please feel free to get in touch with me.
