Donner Lake in Truckee, CA is a beautiful lake with amazing mountain views. Here you can walk, hike, run, bike, kayak, jet ski, boat and much more.
At the east end of the lake you’ll find Donner Memorial State Park with camping grounds and Donner Lake hiking trails and biking trails, whenever in the area come and visit the park, take a stroll along the lake and have a coffee on one of the benches, go for a run or get on the bikes with the whole family and please make sure you visit the museum and learn about Truckee’s reach history.
In the summer the beach is filled with people, bring some snacks and wine and enjoy the beautiful sunset!
To follow the walk below park your car at the end of the wood fence (right next to Tahoe Donner Beach Club), take the trail strait ahead and after you cross the bridge just follow it along the lake, the views are breathtaking, enjoy the mountain air and nature!
